The Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) mulched cut honeysuckle in the park so we are putting mulch on trails to make them more enjoyable to hike. Please wear gloves and a mask and enjoy the fun in making new friends and improving Lincoln’s first home in Illinois.
IDNR appreciates any amount of time you can give with finishing these beautiful trails. The park is about 10 miles straight west of Decatur on Route 36 past Harristown to Lincoln Trail Memorial Parkway; go south four miles. The park is on the east side of the road.
