On February 12, 2009, The Abraham Lincoln Association led the national celebration of Abraham Lincoln’s 200th birthday. President Barack Obama was the guest of honor at the Association’s banquet attended by over 1,200 persons on the evening of February 12 in Springfield. Each person attending received a gift—Lincoln In Illinois, a commemorative book of photographs of the statues of Lincoln in Illinois by photographer Ron Schramm.
